Well, every product has its own drying time. And it’s quite risky to paint during the rainy season. If in case, you go ahead with the painting and it rains heavily, not allowing enough time for the paint to dry, you might have to face problems. Hence, we recommend you to observe the weather condition and then go ahead with painting.

Do's: Check pH value of the surface. Clean the surface properly if required, then use Bio-wash with 5% dilution with clean and soft water. Next day wash the surface again with water. After drying fully you can go for painting.

For interior use top coat like Water base lustre, Luxuary Emulsion, Premium Emulsion, Classic Interior Emulsion, Combo Int & Ext Emulsion. The steps recommended below must be followed for the best performance of any exterior emulsion.

The surface to be painted must be cleaned thoroughly using a wire brush and clean water. All traces of loose paint, algae, dust, grime must be removed. Areas where there is a high potential for algae growth must be cleaned using a bio-wash solution before painting.

Cracks, if any, on the surface to be painted must be closed.

Areas with constant dampness must be identified and corrected prior to painting. The source of the leak must be fixed permanently.

If the substrate shows signs of chalkiness, a primer with anti-efflorescence properties like Oneplus Spark WT Primer must be used.

A Primer surfacer or Primer Sealer is a primer with high binder content, this aids to seal the pores of the substrate effectively thereby enhancing adhesion and giving a uniform finish & gloss of the topcoat.

Normally three methods are used to apply paint on walls – by brush, roller and spray gun. The paint needs to be diluted to the right consistency while choosing any of the above methods. Application by roller is the most common method used while applying wall paint.

Usually, exterior walls exposed to sunlight, rain and dust will need washing before painting. You can use a scrapper / abrasive paper to remove the loose paint. Use a pressure wash and scrub with a wire brush to remove accumulated dirt, grease, algae, fungus, and moss growth. For Interior surfaces with oil, grease, or wax stains you can wash it away with a mild soap solution and a soft sponge. Wall putty helps provide a smooth and even look to the wall and is a recommended step in the painting system. Wall putty is generally applied using a putty blade and involves applying multiple coats in thin fine layers to remove any undulations and holes on the surface.

Apply two to three coats to achieve best results. Make sure the first coat is completely dry before you apply the second coat. A coat of primer must be applied to the bare wall before you apply acrylic wall putty.

Yes. if Acrylic or Cement-based wall putty is being used then a primer coat is recommended before and after application of the putty. The coat of primer helps in binding the putty to the wall.

Exterior emulsions are water-based paints that offers protection for exterior masonry surfaces from the elements like sunlight, rainfall and algae/fungal attack.

In general terms any season other than rainy season should suit exterior painting. However, painting is not recommended when ambient temperatures are above 35⁰C and below 10⁰C. It is also equally important that the substrate ie; the wall, is not too hot or too cold or wet. Relative Humidity should be between 40% – 60% for best results and avoid painting when relative humidity is greater than 85% and also when humidity is very low.
